This year is the 20th anniversary of Adobe Photoshop, the revolutionary software that has allowed us to retouch images removing blemishes, errors, wrinkles and in some cases to even drop a dress size. Photoshop was launched in 1990 by John Knoll, Thomas Knoll, Russell Brown and Steve Guttman and was immediately established as a revolutionary tool for photographic manipulation.

To celebrate Adobe have published a film here where the original developers discuss the creation of the software.
